We are a couple of days away from the first ever Denver Beta. Think of it kind of like Boulder Beta, only it’s in Denver. The event will showcase up and coming local talent in a head-to-head pitch competition. There will be 10 companies showcasing their products, and then you’ll get to vote for your favorite. The event will take place at G2, which is how all the cool kids are referring to Galvanize’s new Platte Street location. Pretty sweet, right?

Here are the 10 companies participating:

BluCar: The Uber of valet car parking – you hit a button on your phone and a valet appears to park your car. More here

Bold Betties: A place where women can rent gear for outdoor activities. More here.

Revolar: The creators of the world’s smartest personal safety device. Basically, they make a quarter-sized dongle that sends your location and a distress signal when you’re in harms way. We wrote about them way back when they were still a Kickstarter.

SelfLender: Lets people without much credit history make small loans and boost their credit scores. More here.

Sirvo: The LinkedIn for the service industry, connecting employers and employees with compatibility-driven pairings. More here.

Echovo: A tool that allows users to share messages and content as a team on social media.

MyHub: A platform for planning group activities that allows users to pool cash with their friends. More here.

LiveRowing: An app that monitors users’ activity on a rowing machine and lets them challenge friends. More here.

Ketsel: Allows you to control your living walls through an app.

SQTFx: Buy or sell a home without every looking away from your smartphone. More here
