Revolar: The World’s Smartest Personal Safety Device

Denver, CO: 769 Backers, $67,321 of $75,000 Raised, 11 Days to Go

Billed as the world’s smartest personal safety device, this quarter-sized dongle sends your location and a distress signal when you’re in harms way. Press a button and your GPS location is sent to a preset contact list. Attach it to your child or other loved ones and you’ll know that they can contact you when they’re in need of help. It could also come in handy when you inevitably get lost backcountry hiking.

BevPod: The Slim Cooler

Denver, CO: 337 Backers, $20,886 of $25,000 Raised, 31 Days to Go

Ok, so this isn’t high tech or digital, but it is brilliant and aimed directly at the Colorado lifestyle. The BevPod is basically a briefcase for beer, designed to be taken places without a car. Unlike a traditional cooler, which is bulky and unruly, the Bevpod slips into a backpack and won’t leak all over the place. You can carry 10 ice-cold cans into Cheeseman Park and they’ll stay icy all day long.

Drone: Real Time Video Sharing and Tracking

Denver, CO: 1 Backer, $25.00 of $80,000 Raised, 19 Days to Go

According to this Kickstarter, there are something like 200,000 personal drones bought every month. These guys want to develop software that allows drone operators to share information about their drone – stuff like video sharing, flight path tracking and drone identification. It’s a bit like YouTube for drones meets FlightAware.

Visageo: The Fashion Application for Everyone

Colorado Springs, CO: 3 Backers, $3,050 of $50,000 Raised, 38 Days to Go

This Kickstarter is attempting to take some of the guesswork out of online clothes shopping.  Basically, you create an avatar that looks like you – same measurements, haircut, etc. – then Visageo will let you virtually try on clothing. Just make sure you’re honest when creating your avatar.
